Roscommon clubs reach All Ireland rounders finals

Elphin have progressed through to the All Ireland Junior Ladies semi final.

Two Roscommon clubs have managed to book their place in All Ireland rounders finals.

Both Elphin and Kilmore accomplished the feat after the All Ireland semi finals were held last weekend at the home of Galway City Rapparees.

Elphin have managed to book their spot in the national decider as they overcame Castletown Liam Mellows 11-2 in the All Ireland Junior Ladies semi final.

This is an impressive feat especially considering Elphin Rounders Club was founded less than two years ago.

Meanwhile, Kilmore came through a tight affair as they defeated Inniskeen Grattans 11-9.

This final will be a huge day in Kilmore’s history although they have experience of the big day, having won the Junior Nationals in 2024.

The North Roscommon club are also less than two years in existence, yet they stand just one win away from an All Ireland title.

Elphin are set to face Monaghan’s Iniskeen Grattans in the Junior Ladies final while Kilmore will play St. Senan’s of Limerick in the Junior Men’s decider.

Those games are scheduled to be played at the end of the month.
