Roscommon crowned All-Ireland Masters shield champions

The Roscommon Masters footballers have savoured All-Ireland glory for the second year in succession after getting the better of Meath, 1-13 to 2-7, at Fr Manning Gaels GAA grounds, Drumlish, on Saturday afternoon.
Aidan Dooney’s first-half goal gave Anthony Carroll’s side some early impetus and they duly kept Meath at bay, helped by Darragh Hussey’s Player of the Match performance, to secure another All-Ireland crown.
Afterwards, captain Paul Kelly from Pádraig Pearses was presented with the shield to confirm Roscommon as champions.
