Roscommon man wins Player of the Tournament for Irish Masters team against Australia

Conor Beirne, Declan Woods, Sharon Ryan Tarmey, Dermot Foley and Anthony Carroll who were part of the successful Irish Masters Gaelic football teams on Saturday.

A County Roscommon man was awarded Player of the Tournament after the Irish Masters team saw off Australia in their second test match on Saturday.

Kilmore player, Dermot Foley, picked up the award after being selected Player of the Match on the Ireland over-40s team that defeated their Australian counterparts. 

A week earlier, in the first test, former Roscommon player, Conor Beirne from Elphin, was chosen as Player of the Match, rounding off a successful two weeks for the Roscommon players involved.

Declan Woods from Éire Óg was part of the Ireland over-50s team that were triumphant over two tests, while Sharon Ryan Tarmey was part of the winning ladies’ team.

Anthony Carroll from Kilmore was part of the men’s over-50s management team.
