Roscommon on the lookout for new senior hurling manager

Roscommon are on the lookout for a new senior hurling manager.

Brian Hanley has informed the Roscommon hurling executive in recent days that he would be stepping down as manager.

Under Hanley’s tenure Roscommon finished in third place in Division Three before finishing bottom of the Christy Ring Cup table.

However, they will play in next year’s Christy Ring Cup after New York claimed the title.

In a statement Roscommon GAA thanked Hanley for his effort during his time in charge.

“Roscommon GAA would like to sincerely thank Brian for the commitment, dedication and professionalism he has shown to Roscommon hurling throughout his time as manager.” 

County Chairperson Christy McDermott, on behalf of Roscommon GAA, thanked Brian for his contribution:

“On behalf of Roscommon GAA, I would like to thank Brian for the time, energy and commitment he has given to the Roscommon senior hurling team over the past year. We greatly appreciate the work he has done with the players and his management team, and we wish Brian every success in the future.” 

“Roscommon GAA also extends its sincere thanks to Brian’s management and backroom team for their commitment and contribution throughout the season.” 

“The process to appoint a new Roscommon Senior Hurling Manager will commence in due course.”
