A Roscommon ladies’ footballer has been nominated for Player of the Month for May following a superb display of shooting during the recent Connacht LGFA intermediate final against Leitrim.

Aimee O’Connor, who was making her first start of the season after returning from injury, kicked 0-10, including 0-7 from play, during her side’s 3-12 to 0-19 defeat in Kiltoom.

The St. Dominic’s player has been nominated alongside Carla Rowe, Dublin, and Danielle O’Leary, Kerry, for the PwC/Gaelic Players Association Women’s Football Player of the Month for May.
