Roscommon pledges support to integration

The Roscommon County Integration Working Group has reaffirmed its commitment to progressing the integration of GAA, Camogie and LGFA within the county.

The group consisting of members from the GAA, LGFA and Camogie, under the independent chair of Fr. John McManus have reiterated their commitment to integration within the county.

They have also confirmed that the group have met regularly since the resignation of Dr. Mary McAleese from the GAA Steering Group on Integration.

In a statement, Roscommon County Integration Working Group affirmed their belief that work must continue towards integration within the county.

“We recognise the importance of maintaining momentum for the integration of our three organisations within Roscommon. While longer term arrangements and decisions are being considered at national level, we believe it is important that agreed integration activities continue where appropriate in Roscommon.”
