A Roscommon referee has been presented with medals after taking charge of two All-Ireland finals this year.

Pádraig Pearses’ Aaron Clogher was recognised by Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) CEO Helen O’Rourke at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin last Saturday evening.

Aaron took charge of the All Ireland U-14 Platinum final between Galway and Cavan back in June with the Tribeswomen prevailing after extra time.

He was also the man in the middle for the Lidl Post Primary Schools Senior B Championship final that was held at St. Aidan’s GAA Grounds, Ballyforan back in May. St. Attracta’s Community School, Tubbercurry prevailed in that game against Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles.

Aaron took charge of this year’s county hurling final between Four Roads and St. Dominic’s. He was entrusted to referee the county football final between St. Brigid’s and Boyle in 2023.
