CBS Roscommon are hosting a hurling blitz to raise funds for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society

A Roscommon school is raising funds for Palestine through hurling.

CBS Roscommon’s first and second year students are hosting a hurling blitz to raise money for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

The school’s first and second year students are being asked to gather donations with the blitz taking place on Monday, December 16 in Roscommon Community Sports Park.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is an officially recognized independent Palestinian National Society.

It enjoys legal personality and is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The Society, which operates in Palestine and the diaspora, is guided by the Geneva Conventions.
