Roscommon are set for a difficult road trip on the opening weekend of 2027 National Football League Division One action at the end of January.

According to The Examiner, Mark Dowd’s side will face Ulster champions, Armagh, at the BOX-IT Athletic grounds on Saturday, January 23rd.

Last year's meeting between the teams at a windswept King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park resulted in a hard-earned 3-18 to 0-24 victory for Mark Dowd's men.

The other Division One fixtures that weekend will see All-Ireland champions Mayo host Donegal; Galway — under new manager Éamonn Fitzmaurice — will face Kerry in Pearse Stadium, and Cork will be at home against Meath.

Counties have been issued their respective provisional fixtures, and it is understood that Roscommon will have three home games and four away games.

After the trip to Armagh, Roscommon are likely to be at home to Mayo, Kerry and Galway, while they look set to face away games against Cork, Meath and Donegal.

The match against Meath is likely to be played in Croke Park as Páirc Tailteann in Navan is undergoing major redevelopment work.

Counties have been requested to provide feedback or proposed changes before the dates are confirmed as part of the GAA Master Fixtures list.
