Roscommon senior hurling manager, Kevin Sammon, has named his team for this evening’s Connacht Hurling League quarter-final against Sligo at the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome (throw-in at 5 p.m.).

It will be the Clare native’s first competitive game in charge of the Rossies.

There are five players from county champions Four Roads on the starting 15 — full-back James Dillon, centre-back Jimmy Hoey alongside forwards Liam Óg Coyle, Adam Donnelly and Cormac Mulry.

There’s plenty of scoring power available in the form of midfielder Mickey Joe Egan from St. Dominic’s and Paddy Fallon from Oran in the half-forward line.

There are a couple of new names among the substitutes, including James Hardiman from Kinnity and Cathal Geraghty from Lucan Sarsfields.

The winners of this evening's game play Mayo in the semi-final on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m..
