Senior club on the lookout for new manager
Pearse McGinley, Conor Silke, Ronan Owens and Gary Tynan helped Strokestown to the county and Connacht Intermediate titles in 2025.
Strokestown GAA Club have confirmed that Pearse McGinley has stepped down as manager of the club's successful intermediate football team.
In his spell as manager, McGinley guided Strokestown to the county Intermediate final in 2024 and 2025 as his charges atoned for their final defeat two years ago to claim promotion to the senior ranks for 2026.
After their county final success, McGinley helped Strokestown claim their first adult provincial title after an historic win over Kilmeena in November.
The club thanked McGinley and his management team of Basil Mannion, Conor Silke, Ronan Owens and Gary Tynan for their commitment.
They also extended their well wishes to Thomas Shanagher, Dylan Tynan, Cathal Tynan, Fergal McGinley and Aaron Convey for all their work behind the scenes.
