Sigerson Cup champions guaranteed Roscommon representatives

Four Roscommon men were part of the DCU squad that knocked reigning champions Ulster University out of the Sigerson Cup.
Fuerty’s Eoin Ward, Boyle’s Luke Glennon and Pádraig Pearses’ Jack Tumulty all came off the bench as DCU prevailed 0-14 to 0-10 after extra time.
Tomás Crean of Creggs was also part of the victorious DCU squad that will face UCD in the final.
UCD also enjoy strong representation with Daire Cregg captaining the side.
St. Brigid’s Ben O’Carroll slotted the winning penalty in UCD’s semi final triumph. His clubmate Bobby Nugent and Oisín Cregg are also part of the panel
