Roscommon senior football manager, Mark Dowd, has handed out six league debuts in his starting 15 to face Kerry in the opening round of the Allianz NFL Division One at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney, on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Aaron Brady (Elphin), defenders Caelim Keogh (Pádraig Pearses) and Eoin Ward (Fuerty), midfielder Conor Ryan (Pádraig Pearses), and forwards Darragh Heneghan (Michael Glaveys) and Eoin Colleran (Pádraig Pearses) are set to make their league debuts in the Kingdom.
There are just seven starters from the team that were defeated by Kerry, 3-18 to 0-17, in the All-Ireland Series at the same venue in May — Ronan Daly, Senan Lambe, Keith Doyle, Dylan Ruane, Enda Smith, Diarmuid Murtagh and Daire Cregg.
Kerry have also named their team for the game, with seven starters from last season’s All-Ireland final success against Donegal in Croke Park — Jason Foley, Dylan Casey, Mike Breen, Seán O’Brien, Joe O’Connor, Seán O’Shea and David Clifford.
