The Volunteer of the Year for Roscommon Camogie has been unveiled.
Theresa Rowe from Oran Camogie Club is a “very deserving winner” of this year’s award.
Secretary of Oran Camogie Club for the last two years, Theresa has held numerous roles within the club and has contributed to the development of camogie in her parish over the years.
Outside of being a highly popular and valuable volunteer, she was Female Liaison Officer with the Roscommon junior camogie panel last season where she worked closely with players and management.
She is also a member of the Roscommon THDC (Transfers, Hearings and Disciplinary Committee) and gave her time to the National Fixtures Committee in 2023/2024.
Roscommon Camogie paid tribute to Therese, saying that her work “knows no bounds”, and that she was always available to help out at national fixtures.
“A very deserving winner. Well done Theresa. Oran and Roscommon Camogie would certainly be lost without you,” added Roscommon Camogie.
Theresa, alongside other volunteers around the country, will receive her award at a ceremony in Croke Park on February 15th.
