Cathy O'Roarke and James McKeague who were married in Monopoli, Italy, recently.
One of County Roscommon’s most dedicated and popular club footballers celebrated his marriage recently.
Creggs footballer, James McKeague, married local lady Cathy O’Roarke whose family runs a pub and shop in the village on the Roscommon/Galway border.
Cathy is also Creggs GAA Club’s PRO.
James — who was part of the famous Roscommon minor football team that won the All-Ireland title in 2006 and later went on to win a Connacht U-21 medal with the Rossies — showed that pre-wedding nerves weren’t an issue by producing a number of solid performances for Creggs in this year’s Roscommon Intermediate Football Championship.
The happy couple were married in Monopoli, Italy, on September 27th.
They were joined by a large number of family and friends from Creggs who travelled out to Italy for the joyous occasion.
