Roscommon golfer Olivia Costello will play the opening round of the KPMG Women's Irish Open alongside two household names.

She will tee off alongside Leona Maguire and Shannon Tan at 8.18 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) at the The K Club's Palmer South Course in Kildare.

Maguire is the only Irish player to have a win on the LGPA Tour while in 2024 she became the first Irish woman to win on the Ladies European Tour.

Meanwhile, Tan won the 2025 Ladies European Tour Order of Merit. She has three wins on the Ladies European Tour while earlier this month she finished tied for sixth at the Women's British Open, her best finish at a major.

Costello is playing in her fourth KPMG Women’s Irish Open and enters after a strong year which saw her win the Irish Girls’ Amateur Open Championship while earlier this month she helped Ireland be crowned Women’s and Men’s Home Internationals champions for just the second time ever.

This year’s tournament features 16 Irish players, a record number, with nine professionals and seven amateurs taking to the fairways on the Palmer South Course in Straffan, Kildare.

All four rounds of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open are on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player from 2 p.m. each day. The tournament will also be aired on Sky Sports+/Sky Sports Mix and the LET YouTube channel.
