Local club planning major development

The Clann na nGael GAA club in South Roscommon has recently lodged a planning application with Roscommon County Council for a large scale project at its grounds in Johnstown.
Central features of the plans comprise a second playing pitch, a seated stand, a sensory garden and a walkway with solar lighting around the boundaries of the grounds.
There are also proposals for flood lighting and two 13 metre high ball-stops.
County planners are due to make a decision on the development in early February of next year.
