Daire Feeley remains firmly in the hunt to win the Rás Tailteann for the second time after the conclusion of the third stage in this year’s Rás.

The Roscommon cyclist finished today’s stage in eighth place. This means he remains sixth overall in the General Classification.

The third stage, which went from Cong to Miltown Malbay, saw Tim Shoreman cross the line first.

This was his second stage win of this year’s Rás.

Odhran Doogan retained the yellow jersey with Feeley just 10 seconds behind the Cycling Ulster rider.

Tomorrow’s fourth stage will kick off from Ennis, Co Clare and take on 2 x category three climb’s before crossing the category one Wolftrap climb with less than 15kms remaining –before concluding in Mountrath, Laois.
