Roscommon goalkeeper back in the running for Golden Glove award

Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football goalkeeper, Helena Cummins, is in the running for the 2026 ZuCar Golden Glove award, having won the award last year.
The Michael Glaveys number one, who captained Roscommon to All-Ireland championship glory in Croke Park a few weeks ago, is one of five nominees for this year’s award.
Her save to deny Westmeath’s Sarah Dillon during Roscommon’s 2-14 to 2-10 victory in the All-Ireland semi-final at Kingspan Brefni has made the final cut.
Last year, Cummins’ brilliant save to deny Fermanagh’s Joanne Doonan in the group stages of the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship won the popular vote on the Ladies Gaelic Football Association website.
Alongside the Roscommon captain, Carlow’s Nicole Hanley, Kerry’s Mary Ellen Bolger, London’s Grace Amos, and Tipperary’s Lauren Fitzpatrick are also in with a chance of claiming the award.
