Elphin’s Damien Tiernan recently saw his horse Vitorio Piel claim victory at the Connolly's RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction Novice Hurdle.
The Emmet Mullins trained horse overcame race favourite Grey Jude on Tuesday at Leopardstown.
Under Donagh Meyler, the Spanish Moon gelding tracked Grey Jude throughout.
Vitorio Piel surged clear down the stretch to win by six and a half lengths.
Just last month, Mr. Tiernan experienced victory at Leopardstown for the first time as Saint Le Fort won the Race And Stay At Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle.
