A Creggs rugby player will make her senior international debut.
Ivana Kiripati has been named to start in the back row for Ireland as they play Scotland this Saturday in their first warm up game before the World Cup on August 22.
Kiripati is one of three players set to make her debut with Nancy McGillivray also named to start while Connacht’s Ailish Quinn is set to feature off the bench.
The Creggs woman is the daughter of Kolo Kiripati, who was Head Coach as Creggs’ senior men’s team secured the Junior Cup, J1A League titles and Cawley Cup last season.
Creggs RFC stated: "Congratulations to Creggs RFC player Ivana Kiripati on her selection to play for Ireland v Scotland in Cork on Saturday. Another international cap for Creggs. Making your family and our club proud of your achievements."
Ballinasloe duo Beibhinn Parsons and Méabh Deely have both been named to start.
Sam Monaghan returns to captain the side after a lengthy lay off following an ACL injury sustained in the PWR final in June 2024.
Ireland will play Scotland in Virgin Media Park on Saturday August 2nd at 2pm.
