Brideswell native Darragh Murray scored a try for the Ireland XV during their facile victory against Spain on Saturday evening.

The Connacht second-row touched down for the first of Ireland’s nine tries after ten minutes as the visitors triumphed 24-61.

With Andy Farrell’s side playing Japan earlier in the day, it was a chance for a side, which featured ten Test-capped internationals, to lay down a marker and, perhaps, force their way into the Ireland Head Coach’s plans for the remainder of the Quilter Autumn Series with games against Australia and South Africa looming.

Murray made his Ireland debut against Georgia this summer, while he also featured against Portugal.
