Brideswell native Darragh Murray has signed a new contract with Connacht Rugby.
Connacht Rugby confirmed that Murray has signed on with the province.
He has made 51 appearances for the province since his debut in October 2022 against Ospreys.
The Roscommon native previously signed a two year contract with the province back in March 2024.
Murray has been capped twice for Ireland, with those appearances coming last Summer against Georgia and Portugal.
He was invited to join Ireland’s Six Nations squad in Portugal for a training camp prior to this year’s Six Nations before linking up with Ireland XV.
Cathal Forde and John Devine have also signed new contracts with the province.
Connacht head coach Stuart Lancaster stated: "Darragh, Cathal and John are all perfect examples of a fully-aligned Connacht pathway system. They were given the tools and knowledge to excel in their respective clubs and schools, and then thanks to the work of Eric Elwood and his staff in the Connacht Academy, further developed their physical and technical skills ahead of their move to Professional rugby.
"Darragh and Cathal are now consistently proving themselves at the highest level, and have also benefitted from international exposure either through the Ireland Senior or ‘A’ teams. John has plenty of competition for gametime at centre, but fully deserved his debut against Montpellier a few weeks back and is on the right trajectory to become another talented player produced by the Connacht pathway.”
Connacht play their last game in the BKT United Rugby Championship before the four-week international break this Saturday when they travel to Italy to play Zebre in a game they must win to propel themselves back into contention for a top eight spot.
