A County Roscommon woman has been picked in the Ireland women’s squad for the upcoming Six Nations.
Creagh native, Aoibheann Reilly, has been included in the 35-player squad chosen by Head Coach Scott Bemand this afternoon.
Reilly made her Six Nations debut for the Ireland against Wales in March 2022.
In January she was part of the Ireland sevens squad that won the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series for the first time in Perth and will be hoping to be part of that squad for this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris.
Daughter of Stephen and Fionnuala Reilly, Aoibheann is a former Pádraig Pearses and Roscommon U-16 ladies’ footballer. Her brother Colm is part of the Connacht Rugby men’s first team squad.
Ireland open this season’s campaign away to France on March 23rd.
