Rugby legends team up for Creggs Quid Games fundraiser

One of the county’s most well-known and popular rugby personalities has teamed up with a former Creggs rugby player to raise money for the club and Sunflower Children’s Hospice.
Connacht rugby player Sarah Purcell will take part in the Creggs Quid Games fundraiser, on behalf of Adrian Leddy, on October 10th.
“Every donation, big or small, will help put our team in the best possible position going into the Quid Games, while also supporting a fantastic cause (Sunflower Children’s Hospice) that does such important work for children and their families.
“Creggs RFC is incredibly grateful for the continued support of the community, and we’d really appreciate you getting behind the fundraising draw.
“The club has made huge strides in recent years, with its 4g pitch and three grass pitches.
“Fourteen GAA clubs have availed of our facilities, as well as Glen Celtic and Connacht Rugby this season.
“But we need to keep moving forward and it is hoped to undertake further work on floodlighting and a new toilets block,” said Adrian.
Sunflower Children’s Hospice is a new €14â¯million paediatric hospice planned for Castlebar, County Mayo, designed to provide specialist in-patient and respite care for children with life-limiting illnesses across eight counties along Ireland’s western seaboard.
It is a landmark project led by the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. It will be the first purpose-built children’s hospice outside Dublin and the first new children’s hospice developed in Ireland in over 15 years.

Prizes include tickets, plus an overnight stay, to Ireland’s Nations Championship game against South Africa on November 22nd, and tickets to Connacht’s match against Toulouse in the Champions Cup at the Dexcom Stadium.
