Kilmore players Ciara Carroll, Saoirse Kerins, and Caoimhe Hanly who were part of the Scoil Mhuire junior girls' football panel that were crowned Connacht Shield champions on Friday.

There are celebrations in Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown, after the school’s junior girls’ football panel were crowned Connacht LGFA PPS C Shield champions on Friday.

Scoil Mhuire defeated Holy Rosary Mountbellew by 3-6 to 2-3 at Glenamaddy.

The East Roscommon school were in the box seat at half time, leading by 3-3 to 1-0, and they kept Holy Rosary’s second-half revival at bay to run out deserving winners.
