Second prestigious award for County Roscommon athlete

A County Roscommon athlete has won a second prestigious award following another successful season on the track.
Hollie Kilroe received the Athletics Ireland Star Award for County Roscommon Juvenile Athlete in 2024 at an awards ceremony held in the Mullingar Park Hotel last weekend.
It is the Suck Valley athlete’s second time to receive the award, having also won it in 2022.
Daughter of Siobhán and Fintan Kilroe, Ballybride, Hollie’s burgeoning career has seen her represent Ireland twice at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
Earlier this year, she was part of the gold-medal winning UCD 4 x 400 metres relay team at the National Indoor Championships.
Congratulating Hollie, Suck Valley AC said: “Hollie continues to inspire all our young members on what can be achieved with hard word.”
