A Roscommon soccer club has confirmed the appointment of a new manager for the 2026/2027 season.
Former Roscommon and District League Premier Division champions, Moore United, have turned to former manager Declan Duffy as the man to lead them into the new season.
The champions from the 2022/2023 season finished fourth in last season’s Premier Division, and will be one of the top teams vying for honours when the new season gets underway in a few weeks’ ago.
“Moore United FC wish the announce the appointment of Declan Duffy as First Team Manager for season 2026/2027,” said the club in a statement.
“Declan takes on his second stint in the role, having previously held the position in 2023-2024 where the squad reached Connacht Junior Cup quarter-finals and won the RDFL Premier Division Cup.
“The club wishes everyone involved a successful upcoming season,” concluded the statement.
