The final day of this year’s Cheltenham Festival holds a strong interest for Roscommon.
Doctor Steinberg, owned by Loughglynn native Tom Gilligan is currently listed as the favourite for the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (Spa) (Grade 1) at 3.20 p.m. today.
The Willie Mullins trained horse maintained his perfect record over hurdles with a comprehensive victory in the Nathaniel Lacy & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown.
Doctor Steinberg is a perfect three for three over hurdles after also winning in Navan recently and will fancy being firmly in the mix coming down the home straight.
In the final race of the day, Saint Le Fort, owned by Elphin’s Damian Tiernan will try and build on strong recent form.
Saint Le Fort will compete in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (2) at 5.20 p.m. today and is currently priced at 25/1.
After claiming the Race And Stay At Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle last month, Saint Le Fort, ridden by Niall Moore, will be aiming to upset the odds.
