The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday, April 1st at University Hospital, Sligo of Miss Jacinta Rushe, Ard de h-Ide, Church Road, Castlerea, and formerly of Carrowbehy, Castlerea. Deceased was a very kind, gentle and inoffensive person, and a kind neighbour. She loved company and would love when people would visit her. In his homily, Fr. Chris Garrett said that she was a woman of great faith. In her young days she worked at the Wrangler factory in Tooreen, and many of her former work colleagues were present at her funeral. She was very well liked, and this was borne out by the attendance of her many friends and neighbours at her funeral. She will be sadly missed by her relatives, neighbours and friends. Her remains were removed from Gaynor’s Funeral Home to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea and following Mass of the Resurrection celebrated by Fr. Chris Garrett burial took place in the family plot in Cuiltyboe Cemetery, Loughglynn. Mr. Seamus Crawley read the Communion reflection. The ceremony was enhanced by the Castlerea Choir under director Claie Kelly with organist Ena Conry. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
