Masses will be held in Tibohine at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (15th), in Tibohine at 7 p.m. and Frenchpark at 8 p.m. on Holy Thursday (17th), in Fairymount at 2 p.m. and Ballinagare at 5 p.m. on Good Friday (18th), in Tibohine at 7 p.m. and Ballinagare at 8.30 p.m. on Holy Saturday (19th) and in Frenchpark at 10 a.m. & Fairymount at 11.30 a.m. on Easter Sunday (20th). The local clergy would like to wish a Happy Easter to all in the Parish.
A Fairymount Church social will be held in Boland’s Pub on April 20th (Easter Sunday night) with all proceeds being added to funds to replace the church ceiling. There will be a raffle on the night with lots of spot prizes. Music by Tony Moran. Admission is optional. All very welcome.
The Parents Association of Tibohine National School will be holding a Bucket Collection at Duffy’s SuperValu in Ballaghaderreen on this Thursday, April 17th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with all proceeds going to Tibohine NS. Guess the amount of sweets in Easter Egg on display and you can win a prize.
Frenchpark Tidy Towns will carry out litter picking clean-ups on Saturday, (19th) and on Sunday, April 27th next from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Gloves, hi-vis, bags and some litter pickers will be provided. All welcome and your help would be greatly appreciated.

The peaceful death took place of Mrs Kathleen Golden (née Casey), Tallaghan, Edmondstown, Ballaghaderreen on Monday, April 7th last at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar. Sister of Pauline Lowry, Lissergool, Tibohine, Kathleen (89) was pre-deceased by her husband, Sean. She will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her children, Bill, Jackie (Frank) and Fergal (Michelle); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Pauline and Winnie, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Her remains were removed from the Kilgarriff Funeral Home to St Nathy’s Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen, on Thursday evening last. Following Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, April 11th, the funeral proceeded to Kilcolman Cemetery.
The death occurred peacefully of Mr Tony Egan, Brackloon, Mantua, Ballinagare on Monday, April 7th last at the Sonas Nursing Home in Cloverhill. Tony (76) was pre-deceased by his father, Joe, mother Anne, sister, Maureen and brother-in-law, Charlie. He is survived by his brothers, Noel (Birmingham) and Frank (Ardee); sister Breege (Claremorris); brother-in-law, Tom; sisters-in-law, Maureen and Kitty; nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. His remains were removed from Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Kilmaryal on Wednesday evening last. Following Requiem Mass on Thursday, April 10th last, Tony was laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Pray for the repose of the souls of Mr Sean Egan, Enfield, Ballintubber; Mr Gene Tully, Rossmore, Woodford, County Galway; Mr Stephen Cannon, The Avenue, Ballinlough and Mr Padraic Shallow, Castlerea and formerly of Tuam. May they rest in peace.
Exercise classes for seniors will start up in the Parochial Hall, Frenchpark on April 24th next and will run for twelve weeks every Thursday at 10.30 a.m.. Siel Bleu Ireland aims to provide accessible exercise programmes for all members of Ireland's older population, people living with physical and intellectual disabilities and those living with chronic disease, irrespective of their level of ability or physical health. Western Gaels held its weekly lottery draw on Saturday, April 12th last. There was no winner of the jackpot. The numbers drawn were 6, 8, 19 and 33. Eastern Harps 50/50 draw held on Monday, April 7th was won by Damien McGovern, Gurteen who won €643. The club is most grateful for all the support each week to assist with the running of the club.
