A fundraising night with the Kilgefin/Scramogue Choir in aid of Hannah Victory and the Zoe Cryan Trust, hosted By Richard Kennedy, will be held in St Coman's Church of Ireland, Henry Street, Roscommon Town at 7.30 p.m. sharp on September 25th. Buggy Buddies recently got underway at Lisnamult Sport & Activity Hub. This programme gives mothers an opportunity to become more active alongside their babies, with each session combining physical activity with an important social element. The early stages of motherhood can sometimes feel isolating, so having a welcoming space to meet other mothers, enjoy a conversation and meet new people can be particularly valuable. Buggy Buddies makes physical activity more accessible by allowing babies to come along and be part of the experience.
Balance-ability is coming to Lisnamult Sport and Activity Hub. Give your little one the perfect start to their cycling journey with a free Balance-ability Programme for children aged 3–6 years. This fun three-week programme helps children develop balance; coordination, confidence, and the key skills needed before progressing to pedals. Parents will also receive resources to help continue the cycling journey at home. Dates - September 17th, 24th and October 1st, 5 p.m.–5.45 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6.45 p.m. at the Lisnamult Sports & Activity Hub Places are limited. Register now through Eventbrite. Roscommon Sports Partnership, in collaboration with Dyspraxia DCD Ireland, is offering a fun and engaging six-week programme for children aged 8–14. The programme will give children the opportunity to get active, try new experiences and develop their movement, coordination, and confidence. Seeking Safety is a free coping skills programme for women affected by trauma, mental health and/or addiction. Learn new ways to cope safely with your own triggers, impulses and symptoms. Gain a more compassionate understanding of yourself and "take back your power” from the impacts of trauma, mental health and/ or addiction. The programme is funded by the HSE and is being delivered in Roscommon Town, with a new group starting in Castlerea on Thursday, September 17th.
