There was a capacity congregation in attendance at 10.30 a.m. Mass in St. Therese’s Church, Williamstown on Sunday last. The relics of the young saint, Carlo Acutis, whose short life was outlined by Fr Anthaiah, P.P. in his homily, were present, making it a very solemn and special occasion. Carlo was born in London and raised in Milan and had great devotion to the Eucharist. He died from leukaemia in 2006 at the age of 15, and was canonised in September 2025. All in the huge congregation availed of the opportunity to be blessed individually by the relics. Some of those present had travelled long distances to be present for what was a most meaningful and special occasion. St. Carlo’s relics had also been in St. Patrick’s Church, Glenamaddy on the previous evening.
Essential repairs have been carried out in the children's playground. All the soft pour surface that had shrunk from the edges surrounding play equipment has now been repaired. This required the playground to be shut for a number of days while this work was carried out. Thanks to Williamstown Development Company for funding, and with the help of a Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) Grant from Galway County Council, the essential repairs were carried out.

However, there are further projects in the pipeline and the group is currently in the process of planning for the year. This involves both the continuation of ongoing projects and the commencement of new ones. Sympathy to Jarlath and the Conway family, Cloonmahara on the death of Jarlath’s wife, Kathleen.
