Roscommon Youth Service will run a community paint project in Elphin on July 28th and 31st, suitable for 10 to 13 years. Call or whatsapp Aoife on 0866036050 to register. Come and join in for two fun days of creating a fun art piece for the community.
Cemetery Mass will take place in Elphin New cemetery on Saturday, July 18th at 7.30 p.m..
The countdown has begun to Elphin Agricultural Show on August 29th. A horse racing fundraiser will be held in An Bothar Rua on Friday, July 17th at 9.30 p.m..
The Tidy Towns volunteers meet up at the Day Centre polytunnel every Saturday at 10.30 .m.. All welcome. Thanks also to everyone who sponsors the work of the group. The group has been busy planting tomatoes, cucumbers, squash etc for the use of day centre the clients and staff. With the current hot spell it’s been full on for volunteers keeping the lovely containers fed and watered. Thank you to everyone who has helped.

Clothing collection will take place at Kiltrustan Sports Club the first Saturday of every month, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..

The Tuesday traditional music sessions in the Tower Inn will be proceeded by a junior music session starting at 7.30 p.m. for the duration of the school holidays and all junior musicians will be made very welcome provided they are accompanied by a parent. The next singers’ night in the Tower Inn will be on August 2nd. All singers are welcome to attend.

Huge congratulations to Elphin ladies rounders team who beat St Clare’s of Cavan. Elphin ladies moved up to Intermediate level this year and have faced it with great effort and determination. The ladies' road to an All-Ireland semi-final looks bright.
AA meetings are held on Mondays at 8 p.m. in Elphin Community Centre.
The mobile library visits Elphin every Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m..

The Youth 2000 Summer Festival will take place in Newbridge College, County Kildare from August 13th to August 16th. Young people aged 16 to 35 are welcome to join the festival. This is a donation only event with free buses available across the country and all meals included. Festival includes inspiring talks and workshops, Youth Mass, music and prayer.
