18-year-old Aadya Srivastava, from Headford in Galway, has been crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2025.

The Galway-born teenager, who now lives in Cross, Co Mayo, is in her second year of a law, politics, and economics degree at the University of Galway.

Srivastava said she was genuinely shocked when she was called in the last three and was not expecting the win.

First runner-up was Natalia Gradzka (28) from Santry in Dublin, and second runner-up was Maksuda Akhter (36) from Malahide in Dublin.

Speaking after her win on Sunday night, Aadya Srivastava said: “This win is so special to me and I really wasn’t expecting it all because all of the girls here had such amazing and inspirational stories.

"As a proud Irish woman of Indian heritage, I want the opportunity to amplify the voices of diversity and resilience and be an advocate for justice and compassion.”

Finalists from all over Ireland competed for the Miss Universe Ireland crown at a ceremony with special guest performances from BFamous Stage School.

Miss Universe Ireland 2024, Sofia Labus from Cork, crowned Aadya who will go on to represent Ireland at the 74th Miss Universe 2025 final.

On November 24th, Thailand will host the global event where women from more than 100 countries will compete for the crown currently held by Victoria Kjær Theilvig.
