Talented Roscommon pianist to perform with 20 piece orchestra

Boyle pianist Lenny Chen will play a special concert with the full 20-piece Sligo Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Rod Alston on Tuesday, July 21st in St Joseph’s Church at 7 p.m. as part of the Boyle Arts Festival.

A rising young talent, Lenny has already performed internationally in Italy and the US, and he was recently selected for the 2026 Young Pianists Programme of the Dublin International Piano Competition.

This promises to be an enchanting evening of exceptional classical music in the atmospheric surroundings of St. Joseph’s Church.

The evening will feature Haydn’s Symphony No. 6 “Le Matin” and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major.
