THE LATE MRS CORA MOLLOY 

The death took place peacefully at University Hospital Galway last week of Cora Molloy (née Bauer), 12 Chapel St., Boyle, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Knockvicar and Frankfurt. Predeceased by her husband Frank. Cora will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Aislin, son Dara, Aislin’s partner Mark, Dara’s partner Kristy, grandchildren Aedha, Saoirse, Liam and Rusty, extended family (real and chosen), neighbours and friends. Removal took place from her home on Saturday to Mahon’s Funeral Home Boyle, for a ‘Celebration of Life’ . A private cremation took place.

BOYLE MEN’S GROUP IS BACK 

The Group meets every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm in Boyle Family Resource Centre.

Whether you are looking to get out, meet new people, try something different, or simply enjoy a bit of company, our men’s group is a great place to come along and get involved: It’s free to attend with weekly meetings on Wednesdays, 7p.m.–9p.m. There are activities to suit every ability and is a great way to meet people and make new connections. Everyone is welcome! You don’t need to know anyone before coming along; just turn up and give it a try. If you know someone who might enjoy the group, bring them along too! Any questions? Active age return to Family Resource Centre, at 2 p.m. on September 10th, after the Summer break. Over 55s come and see what we do, and maybe join the group.

MASS IN KILEENAN GRAVEYARD 

Mass will be celebrated in Kileenan Graveyard on Saturday, September 5th at 3 p.m.. There will a collection at the gate for the ongoing maintenance of both graveyards. Mass will be celebrated in Ardcarne Graveyard on Sunday, September 6th at 12 Noon. There will be a collection at the gate towards the cost of lighting Ardcarne Church and Graveyard. Your financial support would be greatly appreciated.

LIVING WELL PROGRAMME 

The Living Well Programme helps people with a long term health condition and helps improve their overall wellbeing. Anyone with any chronic illness can benefit from these workshops. A new programme will start in Boyle on Wednesday, September 9th, from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., continuing for six weeks. Places are free and HSE funded but advance registration is required. ARTS & CRAFT CLASSES FOR ADULTS 

Boyle Family Resource Centre will be running five weeks of arts and crafts for adults on Tuesdays, September 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th and October 6th, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. These will be facilitated by Mo Robertson covering pottery painting, decoupage, upcycling and tote bag design. Booking essential as spaces are limited. Leitrim College of Further Education and Training will host an information event on Wednesday, September 2nd from 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon. Explore a wide range of courses, meet experienced staff, and discover the opportunities available. Refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

COFFEE MORNING FOR HOSPICE 

Mayo Roscommon Hospice is calling on people across Mayo & Roscommon to host a coffee morning/evening on National Coffee morning for Hospice, Thursday September 24th or any date that suits. By hosting a coffee morning in your workplace, home or anywhere you choose, you will be supporting palliative care services in the community and in the two hospice units in Mayo and Roscommon.
