SERVICE OF REDEDICATION AND CELEBRATION OF HARVEST 

Following on in the calendar of events marking the 250th anniversary of St Coman’s Church of Ireland building in Roscommon Town, the next event is a Service of Rededication and Celebration of Harvest on Sunday, October 5th at 3 p.m.. Whilst the recent Heritage Week event celebrated the church building and its place in the town of Roscommon, the service on Sunday will be a rededication of St Coman’s Church to the purposes of God and a celebration of harvest. The preacher will be the Right Revd Ferran Glenfield, Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh. All welcome.

KNOCK PILGRIMAGE 

A pilgrimage to Knock, organised by the Legion of Mary, will take place on Tuesday, October 7th. If interested in travelling contact 087 2445753 or 086 3861954.

SIP & STYLE CREGGS STYLE 

Come along a enjoy a ladies night, Sip & Style Creggs Style in conjunction with Creggs Rural Development, on Friday, October 17th 8 p.m. sharp in Creggs Community School Hall. Live colour analysis demonstration by Mabel and an inspiring evening with style by Canella Lane, jewellery and accessories by Roscommon based Faizie Maizie. Raffle with some nice prizes, wine and refreshments reception at 7.30 p.m.. Tickets €20 each on sale in O'Roarke's Spar Creggs, Dowd's Glinsk, Oscar's Castlecoote or phone Sheila 087 8382944.

SPCA STREET COLLECTION 

Roscommon SPCA would like to thank most sincerely all those who donated so generously to the Roscommon street collections, which raised €1,705.04. Every euro helps to save lives, ease suffering and gives animals the future they deserve. Your kind support is very much needed and appreciated with all money donations collected going directly to animal welfare in County Roscommon. YOUTH MASS 

The monthly youth Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon Town, will resume in October. If you are a young person and would like to sing, play music, read, or participate in any way, come and join the youth group and be part of something special. All new members are warmly welcomed. BRIDGE CLUBS RE-OPEN 

Bridge clubs re-open as follows:  Hannon's Hotel;  Happy '71 Bridge Club, Thursday, October 2nd, 7.30 p.m. Hannon's Hotel. Players should be seated at the scheduled times. New members welcome in all clubs.

LINE DANCING 

Line dancing takes place on Sundays in The Quad Roscommon starting at 6 p.m. for beginners. Drop in or chat to Christopher on 086 8474744.

WOMEN’S GROUP 

A women's group meets on Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-12 noon at the Family Resource Centre Roscommon Town. Tea/coffee and treats. Everyone is welcome. Call 0906628621 or 089 4334135.

COPD SUPPORT GROUP 

Are you living with COPD? Do you care for someone living with COPD? Then weekly classes, which take place every Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Kildbride Community Centre could be for you. Weekly exercise classes, social chat, suitable for all fitness levels. All welcome.
