Luas stop closed after man (40s) injured in assault

A man in his 40s has been hospitalised following an assault in Dublin overnight, which has led to the temporary closure of a Luas stop in the area.
Gardaí said they were alerted to the assault at the Suir Road Luas stop on the Davitt Road, Dublin 12, shortly after 11.30pm on Thursday.
The man was brought to St James's Hospital by ambulance.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination, leading to the closure of the Suir Road Luas stop until further notice.
Passengers have been advised to use the Rialto or Goldenbridge stops instead.
Inquiries are ongoing, gardaí said.
