Agricultural show scam warning issued
Fraudulent email and fake vendor application is being circulated.
A scam warning has been issued by the organisers of Strokestown Agricultural Show making the public aware of a fraudulent email and fake vendor application being circulated using the Strokestown Show name.
The email is being sent from info.strokestownshow@gmail.com and directs recipients to a tally form inviting applications for vendor spaces at the forthcoming show.
The organisers are warning that the email and application form are NOT associated with the show and ask anyone who receives the email not to complete the form, do not make any payment and do not reply to the email.
They say the email should be reported as phishing and that it should be deleted.
