Celebrations are underway across the Kingdom as the National Lottery confirms Friday night’s EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle, worth €1,005,000, was sold in Co Kerry.

The winning ticket was sold in Centra The Reeks, Reeks Gateway, Tralee Road in Killarney.

The Kerry player purchased their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw, Friday, 21st August, which included the winning raffle number: I-VBD-36131.

John Bowler, Store Owner, was thrilled to receive the phone call from the National Lottery.

“There’s a great buzz around the store today and we’re absolutely delighted to have sold Friday night’s winning EuroMillions ticket. We have a mix of local customers and visitors coming through our doors every day, so the winner could be anyone.

"I’ve had the shop for more than 20 years and, while we’ve sold some fantastic prizes over the years, this is by far the biggest. It’s wonderful news for Killarney and the wider Kerry community, and we’d like to wish the winner every happiness as they enjoy their incredible prize.”

Now that the winning store has been confirmed, if you picked up a ticket at Centra The Reeks in Killarney on Friday, 21st August, now is the time to get checking those tickets very carefully.

Friday night’s EuroMillions draw featured a special ‘Ireland Only’ Raffle event, with a guaranteed €1,005,000 prize for one player.

As with every EuroMillions draw, ten players win €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number, and among them, one winner has had an additional €1,000,000 added to their prize, making them the latest National Lottery millionaire of 2026.
