Autism charity opens new Community Support Hub serving Roscommon

AsIAm new  Community Support Hub, serves counties Roscommon, Galway and Mayo.

Ireland’s autism charity, AsIAm, has opened a new Community Support Hub, serving counties Roscommon, Galway and Mayo.

The hub is located at Unit 1 & 2, Liosbaun House, Tuam Road, Galway, H91 795V with on-site parking available for service users.

AsIAm’s Community Support Hub offers free supports for autistic adults and parents/caregivers of autistic individuals, including: one to one information and advice sessions; group-based supports including social groups, educational groups and interest based groups.

A series of themed coffee mornings for parents of autistic children and/or teens is planned by the new AsIAm Community Support Hub for Galway, Roscommon and Mayo to address such topics as supporting autistic identity; knowing your child’s educational rights and an introduction to alternative augmentative communication.

AsIAm’s one to one sessions and groups can be booked using the charity’s online booking page.

In order to book a place, individuals must be over 18 years of age and residing in Galway, Roscommon or Mayo.
