Big wins for Boyle Musical Society at AIMS Awards

Boyle Musical Society picked up two awards at the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS) Awards at the INEC in Killarney on Saturday night.
Elena Greene won the Best Youth Performance for her portrayal of Brigitta von Trapp, in the production of 'The Sound of Music'.
Anne Kielty, who received her second consecutive nomination in the Best Musical Director category, also for 'The Sound of Music', received the runner-up award.
“This was Elena's first role with Boyle Musical Society, where she played the part of Brigitta von Trapp brilliantly,” said Boyle Musical Society.
“From the very first rehearsal to the moment the curtain closes on the final night, Anne Kielty’s dedication, passion, and talent have brought all of our productions to life and she truly deserves this award for the magic she creates both on stage and off,” added Boyle Musical Society.
