Carrick-on-Shannon bar wins national title
Management and staff of McHugh's Bar celebrate after being awarded Bar of the Year at the People's Choice Awards.
McHugh's Bar based in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim has won the prestigious title of 'Bar of the Year' at the People's Choice awards.
The winners were announced at a gala awards ceremony in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road which was a sell out event this year with hundreds in attendance.
Taking to social media after the event the owners stated "This is your award! The people that have supported us through the good times and bad! The people that make our pub what is is....we have the best staff, customers, musicians and family in the country and that's why we got this! THANK YOU, THANK YOU,THANK YOU!"
The bar is situated on Bridge Street in the town and attracts a large number of customers from both counties Leitrim and Roscommon.
