A County Roscommon GP has marked a major milestone, celebrating 25 years caring for the community.
Dr. Geraldine Colleran celebrated her 25th year looking after the people of Elphin last Thursday.
Hundreds of well wishes have been extended to the popular Elphin GP with people offering their congratulations for "a great doctor" and "the lovely friendly staff" at Elphin Health Centre.
Local people say they are "so lucky to have such a caring team looking after us all around the town of Elphin's hinterland".
MEP Ciaran Mullooly also offered his congratulations. "Heartiest congrats to Geraldine on this milestone - and the marvellous duty of care she has shown to her community."
