Conservation plans for County Roscommon Georgian family home

Tinny Park House is a Georgian property based in Corrastoona Beg, Ballintubber.

Plans to carry out conservation works on a 19th-century Georgian property in Ballintubber have been lodged with Roscommon County Council.

The applicants, who are the owners, are seeking permission to carry out internal and external conservation works and alterations to Tinny Park House, Corrastoona Beg, Ballintubber.

The planning documents note that they are proposing to conserve and adapt the main house and its outbuildings to use as their primary dwelling, additional accommodation and ancillary spaces.

The planning application proposes a series works on the protected structure, including conservation repairs to main walls, floor and roof elements, replacement of windows, roof repairs and the reinstatement of two chimney flues.

The plans also propose conservation repairs to original joinery including doors, architraves, shutters, skirtings, main staircase.

The installation of a new kitchen, utility, plant room and new toilets are also part of the proposals.

Set on 6.2 acres, the three-bay, two-storey Georgian property also has an enclosed stable courtyard, complete with a multi-bay stone coach house and stables, along with a separate walled garden.

County planners are due to make a decision on the development by September 3rd.
