Illegal dumping of household rubbish at the plots area in Ballaghaderreen has been slammed by a local councillor.

Independent councillor Micheal Frain said that thousands of euro of taxpayers money had already been spent cleaning this area.

“I intend to bring a notice of motion before Roscommon County Council to require landlords to provide bins for tenants to avoid a repeat of this situation. Let’s keep Ballaghaderreen clean and respect our community,” he said.
