County Roscommon extras wanted for historic drama 'Bluetooth'
Extras are being sought for new historical tv drama.
Are you interested in featuring in an historic drama? If so the filmmakers behind the series "Bluetooth' are looking for extras taking part in the next thrilling series.
They are presently scouring the island of Ireland, high and low, looking for extras to participate in the swords and shields historical saga! They are looking to hire thousands of extras over the duration of the show which will surely be an epic adventure.
They are appealing to anyone with an interest in history, TV, film, the filming process, acting or, to those who simply want to experience something different, meet new people, earn a few euro and see some of the most beautiful scenery in the country while doing it.
Filming will begin in August 2026, in and around Wicklow, until late November.
To apply, they are holding Open Casting days, which are open days are open to adults, 16+ (For any children under 16, parents can request an application form for them at the email address at the bottom).
Those casting dates are:
WICKLOW - Thursday 9th July Parkview Hotel, Main Street, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, A63 FX72 Anytime between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.;
DUBLIN - Monday 13th July & Tuesday 14th July Camden Court Hotel, Camden Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin 2, D02 W086 - anytime between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m..
The casting is inclusive of everyone.
You only need to attend one of the days in order to apply. You will be asked to fill out an application form, which we will give you upon arrival We will take a photo of each person when there.
Once inside the process will only take around 20 mins. You need to be a full time resident and living in Ireland with a working visa and PPS number.
Filming will take place mostly in the Dublin and Wicklow areas, and when the filmmakers call for work/fittings, notice can sometimes be very short, so availability should be good.
"Please be prepared and arrive with knowledge of your measurements e.g. your height, chest, dress, shoe sizes etc. as you will be asked to put these all on the application form.
"You do not need to bring an additional CV or headshots along, but we will accept them if you wish In terms of specific skills or appearances we are after, there are so many, but here are some examples...fishermen, carpenters, craftspeople, farmworkers, axe men/women, skilled swords people, archers, rowers, sailors, ship hands & deckhands, calligraphers, Latin speakers, Arab speakers, musicians, singers, midwives, nurses, animal handlers, hunters, blacksmiths, lumber jacks, magicians, jugglers, tree Surgeons, whittlers, all sporty types, martial artists, boxers, no visible tattoos.
"Males with all types of haircuts especially, long hair and beards. All men prepared to grow hair and beards. Women with all lengths of naturally coloured hair. This is far from a definitive list, but it gives you an idea of how broad our search is. Bring as much information about yourself as you can."
