County Roscommon is the capital of heat and sunshine across Ireland on Friday afternoon.

According to Met Éireann at 3 p.m., the mercury has climbed to 29c at Mount Dillon, making it the warmest place in Ireland alongside the warmest temperature Ireland has recorded in 2025.

On Thursday, Mount Dillon was the warmest place in Ireland with a temperature of 27c, the country's highest temperature of the year until today (Friday).

Tomorrow (Saturday) won't be as warm, while things will turn more unsettled on Sunday.
