Elderly pedestrian hospitalised following County Roscommon road traffic accident
Enquiries into the accident are ongoing.
An elderly female pedestrian has been brought to hospital following a road traffic collision in Castlerea this morning.
Gardaí attended the scene of the accident which happened on St Patrick’s Street in the town at about 10.45 a.m. today.
A Garda spokesperson said that a female pedestrian, aged in her 80s, received non-life-threatening injuries and was brought by ambulance to Sligo University Hospital.
Diversions are in place while the road is being cleared.
